I am going to share a secret with you, with a hypothetical attached. Have you ever had a hard drive die on the main computer that you were using? As you know, the hard drive of the computer consists of the brain of the machine. If you get a virus, your hard drive can cease to work and you have to take it into a technician, to attempt to have it fixed. The problem with this is that often, they can never recover it, and it needs to be replaced anyway. In addition, they are going to charge you labor for the time that they spent on your machine, regardless of whether it will ever work again. If your children are playing on your laptop, and they spill some juice on the the keyboard, the laptop’s hard drive can be affected. There are many scenarios where things can go wrong.
The age of your computer, and the hard drive simply, “wears out”, ceasing to work because the little mechanical gears in the box die of old age. It is a very precarious situation at best, there are so many things that can go wrong. Now, why am I painting a pessimistic picture of this situation? Because if you haven’t somehow backed up your computer when your hard drive expires, you will lose everything on it. This leads us to the difficulties that are quite often involved in backing up your computer. It is often not easy to “recover” what you have backed up, and it is likely that you will require a technician to help you recover your important files and bookmarks. In addition, they will charge you labor for the time that they spend trying to recover your files. More money out of your pocket, and more expenses for you.
Now that I have painted a dark canvass about all of the problems listed above, allow me to show you what the solution to this problem is. Mojave Bookmarks is an Add On that can be found in the new Firefox browser, that you can download on your computer. Mojave Bookmarks is a web based bookmarking tool, which you can access from any computer and any hard drive. All of my important bookmarks are located in this place. All you have to do is provide them with a username and password and you can access all of your important bookmarks any place, and any time. I no longer worry about my hard drive crashing.
I simply do a backup of my browser settings and I manually back up my documents to a zip drive, so that I can reload all of my documents to a new operating system. All of my online courses and my crucial website bookmarks are on Mojave. All of my sites can be recovered at the push of a button. I no longer worry about anything concerning the death of my hard drive. When my hard drive dies of old age, I just go out and buy a new one. I never pay for any technical computer services any longer. I save my money and I don’t worry. So my advice is to get Mojave Bookmarks on your machine post haste, and secure and protect your valuable bookmarks forever. Happy computing and have a great day!
