Century Properties Inc. Also Known As PHIRST Development Properties In Tanza – Do You Really Believe That The Leopard Can Change Its Spots?

Does the public really believe that a leopard can change its spots? There has been a myriad of complaints regarding Century Properties Inc. of the Philippines with regard to their high-rise developments in Manila. They are accused by many buyers of delivering sub-standard construction units to end-buyers and increasing fees for access to pool facilities, monthly dues, monthly services, and Internet services and other fees. There are many complaints from Filipinos who purchased most of the condo units that were constructed by Century Properties Inc. in Manila on Complaint Forums on the Internet. Here is an example of one of the forums. Getting back to that question, “Can a Leopard Change Its Spots?” If they did it once, they can do it again. The fact is that PHIRST PARK HOMES Of Tanza may be, “Doing it again,” under the, “Cloak and Dagger,” of Century Properties Inc. of The Philippines.

The proof about the deception of Phirst Park Homes Of Tanza is obvious, in my wife’s case. Phirst did not deliver a copy of the contract after my wife signed it. After we canceled the contract, Phirst refused to return a copy of the original contract to my wife, and they kept five of the post-dated cheques for two weeks after the contract was canceled. They still have not returned the five post-dated cheques to us and it was two weeks, yesterday. If Phirst Park Homes Of Tanza and Century Properties Inc. of Manila are going to treat my wife, who is a Filipina citizen in this manner, how do you think that they are going to treat other Filipino citizens and their families, that are involved in building contracts with these two companies? Ponder on these points and please draw your own conclusions.

Phirst also had a “board meeting” regarding our request to return refundable deposit monies to us that should have been refunded immediately after we canceled the building contract in writing to their firm. MS Sarah Lacbayog of Century Properties Inc. in Manila, informed my wife over her cellular phone, that Century Properties had a “Board Meeting” where they had decided to keep the refundable portion of our deposit (which was refundable under the terms of the original contract that my wife had signed with them). So they arbitrarily refused to return the refundable portion of 100,000 Pesos to my wife, which constituted refundable monies under the contract. My wife in her conversation with Sarah then asked her an appropriate question, “What are you doing then with the refundable portion of my deposit, putting the money into your own pocket?”

Look for my next article about Century Properties Inc. and PHIRST  PARK HOMES IN TANZA. I will be examining the primary two property laws in the Philippines to ascertain which of the two laws apply in reference to specific cases in this country. It would seem what constitutes, “proof of Estafa” by some lawyers here may differ from one lawyer to another. In my wife’s case, she spoke to a lawyer in Laguna two days ago who asked my wife to sign a written complaint with the condition that my wife include a 1,500 Pesos payment with her written complaint. What surprised me was that the form did not indicate that the amount to be paid in question was to “retain” that lawyer, it only indicated that the payment was being made to ratify the complaint.

After my wife showed me the form and explained the situation of her brief, five-minute meeting with this woman lawyer, I explained to my wife that by signing the “complaint-form” she was actually paying a retainer to hire that law firm. This was after she had been advised that the purpose of the “fee” was only to ratify the “complaint.” This process was actually a clever, “bait and switch” and, “misrepresentation of legal services,” by the lawyer. It was an elaborate way to entrap my wife into the process of hiring that law firm after which my wife would be obligated to pay for, “fees and disbursements,” on an ongoing basis and would now be under, “obligation” to pay a lawyer.

What further shocked me about what had happened in this instance was the fact that another lawyer had previously informed my wife that her case would be handled at no cost as an advocacy-case. Please look for my next article that will be written tomorrow about this continuing saga and series of investigative reports regarding the dishonest and corrupt practices of PHIRST and Century Properties Inc. in the Philippines.
